How to have your data removed from snodo, what happens when you ask, and how long it takes.
Write to martina.camusso@snodo.ch and say what you want deleted. We confirm within a few working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.
The rest of this page explains the specific cases.
This is the case most people arrive here for.
Deleting a WhatsApp message on your own phone removes it from your device only. It does not remove what snodo received. To have that deleted, do one of the following:
What gets deleted: your registration, your phone number, any voice recordings not yet deleted, and the transcripts of them.
What stays: entries that were already confirmed and are now part of your employer's business records, for example a waste entry from three weeks ago. Those belong to the business, not to you, in the same way a written waste sheet would. They no longer carry your phone number once you are deregistered.
You can stop using the channel at any time. It is voluntary, and nothing in snodo requires you to send voice notes.
Ask your organisation's administrator to remove your account, or write to us. We delete your name, email address, login records and session data within 30 days.
Work you carried out in the system โ an action you were assigned, a note you left โ remains part of your organisation's records. Where we can, we detach it from your name rather than deleting the record itself, because the business still needs to know what happened.
Write to us as an authorised person for the organisation. We will:
You do not have to end your contract to have particular data deleted. If you want a single document or a specific period removed, ask for that.
Deletion from live systems happens within 30 days, usually sooner.
Backups. A copy of the database is taken nightly and kept for 14 days, then deleted. Your data may therefore persist in a backup for up to 14 days after it has gone from the live system. Backups are not accessible in normal operation and are not restored selectively.
Legal retention. Where Swiss law requires us to keep certain business records, such as our own invoices to you, we keep those for the required period and delete everything else. We tell you if this applies to anything you have asked us to remove.
Write to martina.camusso@snodo.ch. If your data reached snodo through an employer and we need their instruction to act, we will tell you that rather than leaving you waiting.
You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, if you think we have handled a request badly.
